Route 1: Westport To Achill

Westport to Achill is best explored along the Great Western Greenway. 43km /27 miles of fantastic cycling which takes you about 3 to 4 hours. Bus options are available.

Westport to Mulranny offers access to a stunning blue flag beach, along with beautiful walking and swimming options. Magnificent views await you. Approximately 30km / 18 miles cycling distance, which takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Bus options are available.

The best choice for families, this route is located 12km or 7 miles from Westport. The route takes approximately 1 hour and is a good choice offering picnic areas, playground and much more.

The Westport to Rosmoney loop follows a beautiful cycle route through Newport and Buckfield coming back to Westport. It is approximately 30km or 18 miles and can be completed in 2.5 to 3 hours. Country roads, beaches and more await you on your cycle. Why not stop off for a refreshment as well?

Take the road to Murrisk and on to Croagh Patrick from Westport. A 25km or 15 mile route offering you access to the world famous Croagh Patrick. Visit the Croagh Patrick Visitor Centre, Famine Monument & Murrisk Abbey.
