Our route takes you through Murrisk village and hinterland coming out at Croagh Patrick. Here, there is a visitor center, coffee shop, restaurant/bar and ice cream stand selling the famous ’99 cone. The ’99 is an Irish kid’s favourite soft ice cream! An idea: with older kids (8+) lock the bike and climb the mountain (pilgrims way). Spectacular views from the Ancient Holy mountain top (3.5 hours round trip). Bertra beach is a short cycle from Croagh Patrick. Parking, coffee shop and toilets are on site. We advise you to bring plenty of water, a snack, a mobile phone and for rain and wind – a jacket or pullover. We advise this especially for the mountain climb as weather can change quickly in the summer. Saddle bags are available from our store.
