A fun and educational tour
The trip will take your school group around Westport House Estate and on to Westport Harbour & Heritage Center. Take the Greenway in a safe off-road cycle to Newport.
Paddy & Nelly Bike Hire tours provides a safe (mostly off-road cycle tour for school kids of all abilities from 10 years and up. We offer a second tour for older kids to Croagh Patrick. This is an easy paced tour, taking no more then two hours. Travelling to Newport, you’ll be taken through historical Westport House Estate & Gardens, the popular heritage center in Westport Quay where there is a live talk for the group on local/ national history and heritage.
School Tours In The Heart Of Westport
The tour starts from our store in Westport Town Center. With coach parking only 150m away in Westport Cinema & Leisure Center. On the tour we will cycle through the woodlands of Westport house estate, the first stop is at historical Westport house ideal for a group photo and then tour continues down to the harbour with a stop at the heritage center for live talk next take a short break and then cycle. via Westport House estate. You will take campsite exit out to Newport – only 12km to lunch!
School Transport
School transport can meet the group in Newport and we bring bikes back to our depot in Westport. We highly recommend you to end the tour in Newport as our experience is the round trip is to much for some children and leads to a lot of stop start and delays for the whole group on the way back
when arrived at Newport bikes are parked up beside
the river where there is a picnic area , a fine playground and a large bar /restaurant which can handle large groups indoor or outdoors we arrange in advance the no of seats required to keep group together when you arrive
Full Peace Of Mind
To make sure that everything works a smoothly as possible and all eventualities are covered, we provide a Paddy & Nelly staff member as a tour guide for the duration of tour. We provide road side assistance with our business vehicle and trailer. This is ideal to assist any cyclist in distress, minor accidents. puncture bike replacement etc. This vehicle will shadow the group and communicates with our tour guide ready to attend and assist with any thing that may happen.

We recommend a light rain jacket be brought and warm jumper (as additional warmth may be required).
